Teenage star Julian Hall scored his third goal in two games, which was enough for the New York Red Bulls to defeat the New England Revolution 1-0 on Saturday in Harrison, New Jersey.

Hall, 17, has been responsible for all three of New York’s goals this season after opening with a brace in last week’s 2-1 win at Orlando City.

Saturday’s 53rd-minute header gave the Red Bulls (2-0-0, 6 points) a deserved lead after dominating the first half.

Ethan Horvath made two saves for New York, which finished with 62.5 percent possession. The Red Bulls won back-to-back league games for the first time since August and remained in perfect form under new manager Michael Bradley.

Matt Turner did everything he could in the Revolution’s second straight loss (0-2-0, 0 points), making 3 saves and 19 clearances.

Horvath, who moved from Cardiff City and played his first season in MLS, did not stop until he hit Griffin Yow’s left-footed shot out of the court in the 34th minute of the second half.

New York broke the deadlock from a set piece.

The Red Bulls took a short corner kick before crossing the ball to Adri Mehmeti. The 16-year-old headed into the goal area and Hall headed his shot past Turner.

New England’s best chance of the second half came during the break in the 68th minute.

Ilay Feingold led the pack down the right sideline and the Red Bulls sprinted to come back. Feingold tapped a centering pass to Yow, who had a good angle to fire past the out-of-position Horvath. But Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty curled a leaping header into the net and New York easily dealt with the resulting corner.

The Revs missed another chance during stoppage time in the second half when Carles Gil blasted a pass at the near post and missed a teammate open at the far post.
