Tkachuk gave the Senators a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 18:44 of the first period. Jake Sanderson’s point shot went off the skate of Detroit’s Michael Rasmussen and deflected to Tkachuk, who scored on a wrist shot from the high slot.
Larkin responded with a power play goal at 5:24 of the second period. Raymond skated along the goal line and slid a backhand pass to Larkin, who one-timed past Ullmark from the bottom of the left circle.
Gibson kept the score tied early in the third quarter when Pinto’s shot fell behind, but he dropped the puck with his left skate before crossing the goal line.
Pinto had a good opportunity on a rush in the final minute of regulation, but Gibson made a blocker save.
