The Prince George Cougars are preparing to turn back the clock and say goodbye to the 2025-26 regular season.
The Western Hockey League team will commemorate its final weekend home game of the season with throwback uniforms that will be worn when it hosts the Wenatchee Wild on March 13 and 14 at the CN Center.
The uniforms are reminiscent of the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons, the Cougars’ first two campaigns in Prince George after moving north from Victoria. The royal blue base features a roaring cougar within a round shape on the front, perched above red “PG” letters. The entire crest is outlined in gold.

The shoulders of the jersey are red with a gold outline, and the collar is gold with a red center stripe. There is a gold stripe around the waist and wrist cuffs with red and blue stripes in between. The front of the jersey also features the logo of the British Columbia RCMP’s Indigenous Policing Services unit, which has performed volunteer work at Cougars games this season. The names and numbers on the sleeves and back are red with gold trim.

There’s more hockey coming for the Cougars as the regular season wraps up. They have earned a spot in the WHL playoffs and currently sit fourth in the Western Conference with 78 points.
