The United States and Israel have continued attacks on Iran, bombing government, military and civilian infrastructure as the conflict spreads to Lebanon, where Israel is carrying out an intensive bombing campaign.
A fire broke out near the US consulate in Dubai on Tuesday as Iranian retaliatory attacks continued in the Gulf, raising tensions in the Middle East.

The conflict, which entered its fifth day on Wednesday, has sparked a political debate in America, with opposition Democrats questioning Trump’s decision to attack Iran.
Here’s what we know:
In Iran
- Nuclear Facilities: Iranian media reported that the Natanz nuclear facility was hit during the military operation, but no radioactive leakage was recorded.
- Iranian retaliation: According to US Admiral Brad Cooper, Iran retaliated by launching more than 500 ballistic missiles and 2,000 drones.
- The attacks hit the US embassy in Saudi Arabia and an attack near the US consulate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Ongoing Operations: Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israeli pilots were flying over Iran and Tehran, saying Israel would continue to strike the country “with force”.

- Shipwrecked off UAE coast: The British Maritime Security Tracker (UKMTO) reported that the ship was hit by an unidentified projectile 7 nautical miles east of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. Separately, a drone strike near the US consulate in Dubai.

In Israel:
- Attacks inside Israel: The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah claimed to have fired rockets at Israeli forces in the northern town of Metula.
- Additionally, Iran-aligned Hezbollah announced a missile attack on a naval base in Haifa.
- Israeli military operations: Israel plays a key role in the multi-front conflict, actively bombing both Iran and Lebanon. In Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 50 people and wounded 335.
- Airstrikes on Hezbollah: The Israeli military struck about 60 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, hitting weapons storage facilities, command centers and missile launchers.

In the United States
- US Political Position: “A big blow will go now,” Trump said, promising that Iran was “hurting a lot.”

In Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan
- The position of the Lebanese government: The Lebanese government on Monday officially banned Hezbollah’s military activities and demanded the group hand over its weapons to the state.
- Pressure from Israel: Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, acknowledged calls for Hezbollah to disarm, but urged the Lebanese government to “act now”, stressing that “statements don’t knock down rockets … only action does”.
