The 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) is in full swing, providing much enjoyment to baseball fans around the world. But just as the action on the diamond captivates audiences, so does the food at the ballpark.
Even in the WBC, one entry stands above the rest and fans can’t get enough of it.
Japan’s Tokyo Dome has been serving ice cream sandwiches that have been going viral since the tournament began. The ice cream sandwiches are shaped like Tokyo Dome and come in chocolate and vanilla flavors with a mochi wafer shell.

But while the Ice Cream Sandwich itself attracts fans, so does the price tag. The snack costs just $2.50, making it one of the cheapest ballpark foods you’ll find.
“That sandwich could cause a riot in the 7th inning,” one fan joked, while others urged America to catch up on the concession offer.

It’s clear that Japan is a step ahead of the United States when it comes to Ice Cream Sandwich technology, so let’s hope it makes it to the U.S. in time for the upcoming MLB season.
