Like the provinces, the ECHL Iowa Heartlanderstheir Crispy Bacon Night In 2024, the RoughRiders converted the all-denim look into their uniforms. The pants and socks are a heather blue color reminiscent of jeans, while the jersey has a Roughriders green and black color scheme that gives it a workwear feel over a plaid shirt.
The front of the jersey mimics a workwear bib with the RoughRiders’ primary logo on the front pocket and denim straps that run over the shoulders. The jersey’s collar is green with black trim. The numbers on the sleeves have a black border on a white background.
The overalls extend to the back of the jersey, with white block numbers and a black outline across the top. Player names are also outlined in black on a white background and displayed on a contrasting denim blue plaque.
Saturday’s game between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo is part of the Dupaco Cowbell Cup. The Dupaco Cowbell Cup is contested by four Iowa-based USHL teams each season. All four teams have the most points in regular season games (groups that also include: Dubuque Fighting Saints and Des Moines Pirates — will take the trophy home.
Puck drop between the RoughRiders and Black Hawks will take place at 7:05 PM CT at ImOn Ice Arena (aka “The Stable”) in Cedar Rapids.
