US Tomahawk Missile Filmed Hitting Iranian Girls’ School – Media (Video) – RT World News

Suspected US-Israeli strike kills more than 160 people, mostly schoolgirls

Videos released online and reviewed by several news organizations have fueled accusations that the US was behind the deadly strike on an Iranian girls’ school that killed more than 160 people. The clip shows a US Tomahawk missile impacting near a school in Minab, southern Iran.

Mehr News Agency claims to show the video shared “The Moment Israeli and American Terrorists Hit Minab School” On February 28. Both The Washington Post and The New York Times verified the footage’s authenticity using satellite imagery, social media posts and other geolocated videos.

The Washington Post, citing eight independent munitions experts, described the clip as the latest indication of US involvement in the strike. It noted that the missile hit next to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval complex next to the school.

CBS News reported, citing a person familiar with the classified intelligence assessment, that the US may have been responsible for the attack, but that it may have been caused by an error, possibly due to the use of dated intelligence.

US officials have confirmed the use of Tomahawk missiles – which have a range of 1,600 km – in attacks on Iran. The US is the only party to the conflict that has these weapons.

Wes Bryant, a former US Air Force Special Operations targeting expert, told The Washington Post that the contours of the missile correlated with the contours of the Tomahawk. Jeffrey Lewis, a professor of global security at Middlebury College, separately confirmed the assessment, as cited by NPR. He said the missile did not resemble any known weapon in Iran’s arsenal.

Images from the aftermath of the strike show the roof of the school collapsing onto the children below, with witnesses describing mutilated bodies of children scattered across the area. On March 3, thousands filled the streets of Minab for a mass funeral, with more than 100 graves reportedly dug side by side.

It comes after investigations by AP, CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post suggested the school may have been destroyed in a US strike.

US President Donald Trump has denied US responsibility. “Based on what I saw, I think Iran did it.” On Saturday, Trump described Iran’s arsenal “So wrong.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon was looking into the incident “The only part that targets civilians is Iran.”
