The journalist said America should “behave with dignity” and admit mistakes when it goes wrong
The United States is “Not worth fighting for” If it had bombed the Iranian school but refused to accept responsibility, American journalist Tucker Carlson said.
Speaking on his YouTube podcast on Tuesday, Carlson insisted that the country cannot claim the moral high ground if it avoids acknowledging civilian casualties. He was referring to a February 28 strike on a school in the southern Iranian city of Minab, the first day of a large-scale US-Israeli attack on Iran. Iranian reports said more than 160 people were killed.
Several investigations by the American media indicated that the strike involved a US Tomahawk cruise missile. President Donald Trump has rejected the accusation and suggested Iran itself may be responsible.
Carlson said the United States should “Be Respectful” If it wants to maintain moral credibility, if schoolchildren are accidentally killed, Washington should acknowledge its involvement instead of publicly denying it.

The attack is really a “Tragic Mistake” Pointing out the school’s location next to an Iranian military compound and noting that it was the institution of choice for officers’ children.
An open admission of wrongdoing allows the US to maintain its honor, Carlson continued. “Because if you wake up in the morning and you live in a country that thinks it’s okay to kill not only military officers but their daughters, that country is not worth fighting for.”
A New York Times analysis on Tuesday indicated that popular support for the Iran war is low compared to other US military involvements abroad since World War II. A Reuters/Ipsos poll in early March indicated that only one in four Americans approve of a US-Israeli attack on Iran.
Trump, however, dismissed the vote, saying he had “to do the right thing” And don’t allow Iran to get nuclear weapons — Tehran has consistently said it has no plans.
Carlson, who has generally supported Trump’s policies in the past, has condemned the Iran war “Absolutely disgusting and evil.” In response, Trump claimed to be a journalist “lost his way” And it’s not really part of the MAGA movement.
