The crypto conference organizer said tickets are valid for another event in April 2027, and holders can also transfer tickets to the Singapore event.
The Dubai edition of Token2049, one of the largest global gatherings of the crypto industry, has been postponed until 2027 due to regional uncertainty affecting international logistics and travel.
Organizers said on Friday that the conference, originally scheduled for April 29-30 in Dubai, will be held on April 21-22 in 2027 instead.
In the announcement, the organizers said that preparations for the 2026 event are ongoing, but that postponing the conference will help maintain the scale and quality expected from the gathering and ensure that the industry meets safely.
The move marks a change from earlier this week, when a Token2049 spokesperson told Fortune that preparations for the Dubai conference are ongoing and registrations are tracking for a sold-out event.
