Todd Meadows Cause of Death, How Did the ‘Deadliest Catch’ Crewman Die at 25?


A crew member from the hit reality TV series Deadliest Catch has been confirmed dead in an accident in Alaska. Flight attendant Todd Meadows was only 25 years old.

According to ABC News, Meadows fell overboard on February 25 around 5 p.m. Crews recovered the body immediately after the crash.

“He was unknowingly rescued by the crew approximately 10 minutes later,” Chief Petty Officer Travis McGee, along with Coast Guard Arctic District spokesman, said in a statement.

Efforts were made to resuscitate Meadow, but were unsuccessful.

“We have lost a brother,” Aleutian Lady Captain Rick Shelford wrote on social media. “Todd’s love for his children, family and life was evident in everything he did. He worked hard, loved deeply and brought joy to those around him.”

Meadows was in his first season of filming at the Discovery Channel.

Discovery Channel released a statement about Meadows’ death, saying, “This is a tremendous loss and our hearts are with his loved ones, his crew and the entire fishing community at this incredibly difficult time.”
