Anthony Edwards led seven Minnesota players in double figures with 42 points as the Timberwolves snapped their third straight loss with a 127-117 win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday in San Francisco.

Minnesota won the season series against the Warriors 3-1, with Rudy Gobert scoring 18 points, Jaden McDaniels adding 15 points, and Naz Reid and Ayo Dosunmu each adding 12 points to lead by as many as 25 points. Bones Hyland scored 11 points and Julius Randle added 10.

Golden State recorded its fourth straight loss, dropping for the sixth time in the last seven games. The Warriors tied the game at 109-102 with 8:37 left before Minnesota regained control to deny Golden State’s Steve Kerr his 600th career coaching win.

Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis added 20 points, Guy Santos had 17 points and a career-high eight assists, and De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton Jr. each had 12 points.

With Draymond Green (injury management) and Stephen Curry (right knee pain) absent, Golden State used 11 players in the first quarter and trailed 31-28 until the second half.

After shooting 36.4% in the opening quarter, the Timberwolves outscored the Warriors 38-20 in the second quarter on 68.2% shooting.

Minnesota led 46-39 with 8:03 left in the second quarter, but then went on a 23-9 run at the half to take a 69-48 lead.

For Minnesota, Edwards scored 20 points in the first half, and for Golden State, Porzingis had 13 points.

The Timberwolves extended their lead to 73-48 early in the third quarter when Edwards made a layup. The Warriors battled back and closed the game with a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to 100-87.

Golden State has played 16 straight games without Curry, who will be evaluated again late next week. The Warriors went 5-11 in Curry’s absence.

The Warriors were down to eight healthy players after Al Horford (right calf strain), Seth Curry (left adductor soreness) and Quinten Post (left ankle sprain) suffered injuries during the game.
