The New York Knicks suffered from poor sales during their two nights in Los Angeles.

Coming off two of their highest turnovers this season, the Knicks will try to avoid a three-game losing streak when they meet the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night.

New York, which had won 16 of 21 before landing in Los Angeles, is looking to avoid its fourth three-game losing streak this year after falling a combined 21 points behind the Lakers and Clippers. The Knicks committed 19 turnovers in a 110-97 loss to the Lakers on Sunday, and their 20 giveaways were one shy of their season low in a 126-118 loss to the Clippers on Monday.

The Knicks allowed 43 points off turnovers in Los Angeles and their opponents had 22 steals. On Monday, New York had seven turnovers in the first quarter and was behind by 15 in the second half of the third quarter.

“I think a lot of them were going downhill and trying to make plays,” said New York guard Jalen Brunson, who had 10 turnovers in two games. “But we definitely need to play better with both feet and be more controlled.”

Brunson scored 28 points Monday, backing Karl-Anthony Towns’ 35 points. Brunson scored 24 points on Sunday but committed seven turnovers, a career high.

“We did pretty well in that area, yesterday we didn’t, and today we didn’t,” New York coach Mike Brown said Monday night. “This is something we will continue to talk about and show and see how it progresses going forward. We are not going to overreact to those two games. They were against good teams and they had a very heavy impact on the outcome of those two games.”

The Knicks shot 56 percent and made 21 3-pointers in a 146-112 home win over Utah on Dec. 5 in a 47-point third quarter performance.

Utah is 12-31 after a tough visit to New York as it attempts its fourth straight win this season.

On Monday, the Jazz scored eight times in double figures en route to a 119-116 home win over the Golden State Warriors.

Brice Sensabaugh has 21 points and is 13 of 25 in his last two games after going 13 of 53 (24.5%) in his previous four games. Kyle Filipowski added 19 points and 15 rebounds for his third straight double-double, finishing 10th overall.

“This is a great team effort,” Jazz coach Will Hardy said. “A lot of people have made big plays at different moments. I think you’re seeing the cohesiveness of the team, the way we feed off each other and recognize each other’s skills. I’m really happy for my guys.”

Hardy shot 48.2 percent in a game in which his team had 19 lead changes and 12 ties. That’s a big improvement over the 34.4 percent shot in Saturday’s 113-99 loss in Milwaukee. Hardy also leaned on the bench, and the second team scored a total of 50 points, while starting guard Kionte George (15 points) lasted 24 minutes due to a suspected illness.

The Jazz earned the win without rookie Ace Bailey, who sat out due to illness. Bailey scored nine points Saturday but scored a career-high 32 points in a 10-point win at Washington two days ago.
