Lian Bichsel scored twice, including the eventual game winner. The visiting Dallas Stars extended their franchise-high nine-game winning streak to a 6-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.

Colin Blackwell, Matt Duchene and Jason Robertson each added a goal and an assist for the Stars, who extended their winning streak to eight games in the 2023-24 season.

Adam Erne scored another goal as Dallas earned at least one point for the seventh time in its last eight games against the Canucks (6-1-1).

Dallas’ Miro Heiskanen and Sam Steel each had two assists and Jake Oettinger had 13 saves.

Evander Kane scored the lone goal and Nikita Tolopillo stopped 31 shots for the Canucks, who have lost six straight (0-4-2) and just two wins in their last 22 games (2-16-4).

Dallas scored twice in the span of 1 minute and 10 seconds of the second period to take a 3-1 lead and never looked back.

Bichsel put the Stars on top for the first time, sneaking in a point at 8:31 of the middle frame and hitting a shot from the slot over Tolopilo’s glove.

The Stars made it 3-1 on the power play with 9:41 to go. Robertson one-timed a Duchene feed to beat Tolopilo for his team-leading 34th of the season.

Duchene singled a no-look pass behind Steel at 1:33 of the third to make it 4-1.

Dallas took a 5-1 lead at 5:40 when Blackwell stole a bouncing puck from Drew O’Connor and beat Tolopilo.

Bichsel added his second of the night when he deflected a Mavrik Bourque feed blocker past Tolopilo at 15:41 of the third to make it 6-1.

Kane opened the scoring at 7:57 of the first period when Jake DeBrusk’s shot hit Kane’s skate and past Oettinger.

The Stars tied the game 1-1 when Erne’s shot went off the end boards and hit Tolopilo’s skate with 17:40 left in the first.
