Pavel Dorofeev also had two goals and an assist as the Las Vegas Golden Knights snapped their third straight loss with a 6-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Mitch Marner and Jack Eichel each had a goal and an assist, Colton Sissons and Brayden McNabb also scored, and Braeden Bowman had two assists for Vegas.

Adin Hill made 24 saves for the Golden Knights, who took sole possession of second place and moved to within one point of first-place Anaheim in the Pacific Division.

Rickard Raquel and Ben Kindel scored and Ryan Scheer had two assists for Pittsburgh, which suffered its fifth loss in six games (1-3-2). Arturs Silovs made 11 saves.

Vegas took a 1-0 lead at 8:41 of the first period when Sissons drove to the net and shoveled a Bowman pass 5-hole for his 100th career goal.

Dorofeyev stood alone at the right goal post and blocked Kaedan Korczak’s cross pass early in the second quarter to make it 2-0.

Rakell cut the lead to 2-1 midway through the period when he deflected a cross pass from Bryan Rust into the top left corner of the net.

The Golden Knights responded just 54 seconds later with a highlight-reel goal from Marner. Marner lifted the shot over Silovs’ left pad while falling while crossing in front of the crease.

Kindel cut the lead to 3-2 near the end of the period when he tipped in a pass from Anthony Mantha along the left boards inside the right post.

Vegas opened the game with two goals in a span of 1 minute and 45 seconds early in the third quarter to extend its lead to 5-2.

Dorofeyev scored the first goal after a three-on-one rush, one-timering a Marner pass into the top right corner above the hash mark for his team-leading 32nd goal. Eichel extended his goal streak to three games with a wrist shot over Silov’s right shoulder from the high slot.

Pittsburgh pulled Silovs for an extra attacker at 7:39, and after Vegas missed several empty-net attempts, including Hill’s goaltending attempt, McNabb sealed the win with an empty-netter with 58.7 seconds left.
