The Indianapolis Colts surprisingly want to trade a key All-Pro defender.

The NFL’s new league year is upon us and we’ve already seen some crazy moves. Whether it’s trades or cuts, a lot of things have been thrown around.

The Indianapolis Colts made one of those moves this week by tagging Daniel Jones. Now they have an amazing deal going on.

According to reports, the Colts are shopping linebacker Zaire Franklin, a key player on their defense. This move is puzzling and it is unclear what compensation is being demanded.

Drafted by the Colts in 2018, Franklin was a fan favorite and the soul of this defense. In 2024, he led the NFL in tackles.

That same year, he earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. Now, less than two years after his big season, the Colts have inquired about his trade prospects.

The Colts may already have lost wide receiver Alec Piece to free agency. Now they are looking to move on from another key component of the team.

Franklin was the standard for durability for the Colts and the NFL. He has missed only one career game since being drafted.

The Colts may be looking to salvage draft capital after trading Sauce Gardner last season. It’s still amazing to see their steady key defender on the block.
