What’s not to love about this Lego Star Wars UCS Death Star set? Price tag of £900, mainly, but thanks to Amazon UK’s Spring Deal Days, you can save 15% on this set, which means a wallet-friendly discount of £135.
A vertical section of the original Death Star, with a few scenes from Return of the Jedi thrown in, we think it’s one of the best Lego Star Wars UCS sets. It boasts an astonishing 38 minifigures and is divided into sections, each of which plays out a scene from the film, such as Luke swinging through the Death Star with Leia. It’s probably best not to think about that kiss.
With just over 9,000 pieces, it will take you more than an afternoon to put together, and rated for builders over 18, it is not a child-friendly build. It measures 70 cm and 79 cm high, and is a monster. But there is some play potential here, but we suggest you monitor all Star Wars adventures as, while stable, we still worry that younger builders will get too rough and this will topple over.
But if you’re a grown-up fan of Lego, Star Wars, or both, this is an absolutely fantastic piece. Just grab it while you can; Star Wars is popular and we expect this deal to join the Force soon. Amazon UK’s Spring Deal Days run from March 10 to March 16, so check in with us for more money-saving deals.
