A known stowaway who was released after being caught sneaking onto a flight from New York to Paris in 2024 has been arrested again for brawling on a flight from New Jersey to Milan.
Svetlana Dali, a Russian citizen with U.S. residency who was convicted in 2025 on stowaway charges for evading security and boarding a Delta flight to Paris without a passport or ticket, was arrested Thursday at Milan’s Malpensa airport, an official told The Associated Press.
FBI spokeswoman Emily Molinari said the agency’s Newark office was “aware of the alleged stowaway” but did not immediately release additional information.

United Airlines, which operated the flight, said it was “investigating the incident and working with the appropriate authorities.”
Daly’s attorney, Michael K., who is handling the appeal of the earlier charges. Schneider said he could not comment on Thursday’s incident or whether Daly had undergone a mental health evaluation under the terms of his supervised release.
“I cannot comment on what she has done since her release. My office is handling the appeal, which is still pending,” Schneider said.
She was sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2024 offence.
According to NBC News, on her most recent unauthorized trip, Dolly slipped past ticket agents to board the plane. By the time the crew realized she had bypassed the checks without a ticket, the plane was on its way over the Atlantic Ocean to Italy.
When probed by the crew, Dolly pretended she couldn’t ask the crew members questions, the US outlet said.
Days before boarding the 2024 flight to Paris, Dolly slipped past security at Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport, but was arrested before she could board. Earlier in 2024, she was caught by border agents hiding in a bathroom in a secure area of Miami International Airport.
Shortly after returning to the US after the Paris incident, she was arrested by the FBI and ordered to remain in Philadelphia.
Instead, she fled to Buffalo, NY, allegedly cut off her ankle monitor and took a bus toward the Canadian border. She was arrested while trying to cross to Canada.
Surveillance footage from the day she flew to France showed Dolly slipping away with a group of ticketed passengers, who allowed Delta Air Lines staff to slip past them unnoticed.
Daly told the court that he walked onto the plane without asking for a boarding pass. On the plane, the plaintiffs said they hid in the bathroom for several hours and were not discovered until the plane approached Paris.
