Surveillance video obtained by NBC News captured Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, 41, the suspect in yesterday’s Temple Israel synagogue attack, purchasing more than $2,000 worth of fireworks at a Detroit-area store just two days before crashing his car into the synagogue. Authorities say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head during a shootout with security officers.
