The $1 million Dota 2 tournament will run from Saturday to Wednesday with a group stage where 16 teams will play in a modified Swiss system format. All matches are best of three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the bottom eight teams are eliminated.
The playoffs will be held from March 12th to 15th in a double-elimination format. All matches will be played as best-of-three matches until the finals, which will be best-of-five matches.
First place is worth $300,000, second place is worth $175,000 and third place is worth $120,000.
On Saturday, PARIVISION swept Yellow Submarine 2-0, winning in both red after 42 and 55 minutes.
Aurora Gaming took down MOUZ in 41 minutes in green and 38 minutes in red.
Team Falcons was soundly defeated, beating Team Nemesis in 34 and 44 minutes.
HEROIC beat Team Yandex in 41 minutes in red and 36 minutes in green.
Vici Gaming started with a win in 31 minutes on green, while OG drew in 33 minutes on green. Vici put up a hard-fought game in 57 minutes on the green.
Team Spirit followed a similar pattern against Xtreme Gaming, winning in red after 46 minutes. Xtreme tied the score after 42 minutes in green, while Team Spirit won in 39 minutes in red.
Team Liquid dropped the opening map as BetBoom Team won in 37 minutes on green, and Liquid fought back with wins in red in 35 and 25 minutes.
Natus Vincere fell behind from the start, with Tundra Esports winning in 31 minutes in green and Natus Vincere winning in both 34 and 33 minutes in red.
