Dylan Cozens had two goals and an assist, Drake Batherson had two goals and the visiting Ottawa Senators beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 on Saturday night.

Thomas Chabot added a goal and an assist for the Senators, who are 1-0-1 since the Olympic break. Linus Ullmark stopped 21 shots.

Morgan Rielly and William Nylander scored for the Maple Leafs, who trailed 0-3-0 after halftime.

Joseph Woll allowed five goals on 28 shots and Anthony Stolarz, who came on late in the second quarter, made 12 saves.

The teams have split two games this season, with two more scheduled to take place in the final month of the regular season.

Rielly scored from the left circle after receiving a cross-ice pass from Auston Matthews in the right circle at 2:52 of the first period. It was two seconds after Cozens completed a roughing penalty kick.

Chabot leveled the game when he scored on a trailer from the high slot on a pass from Brady Tkachuk at 10:59 of the first.

Despite Ottawa’s 16-2 edge in shots on goal, the two teams were tied after 20 minutes.

Cozens hit a loose puck to score from the edge of the crease at 3:03 of the second period. Chabot’s shot from the left point was blocked in front of the goal by Toronto’s Troy Stetzer.

Batherson scored Ottawa’s third attempt 13:05 into the second during an onslaught against the Toronto net. Nylander answered 51 seconds later by poking his own rebound into the goal.

Batherson came back and scored on a 28-foot wrist shot at 15:15 of the second. Cozens added a power play goal at 16:06. The Maple Leafs were under a delay of game penalty after Batherson’s missed goal.

After a jam around the Toronto goal, a close game broke out early in the third quarter, pitting two majors against four minors.

Batherson had a chance for a hat trick, but missed it on a breakaway at 10:02 of the third period.

Toronto had an ineffective power play with 10:27 to play, which ended any hopes of a rally.

Ottawa’s Shane Pinto rang a laser off the crossbar at 13:27.
