Okot finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds, Tessa Johnson had 15 points and Ta’Niya Latson added 11 points and six assists for the top-seeded Gamecocks (30-2), who have won 11 straight, including a 60-56 win over the host Wildcats in Sunday’s regular-season finale.
South Carolina, which finished the game with a 25-8 advantage in points off turnovers, took control by outscoring the ninth-seeded Wildcats 22-11 in the second quarter and taking a 44-27 lead at halftime. The Gamecocks will face fourth-seeded LSU in Saturday’s semifinals.
Amelia Hassett scored 15 points, Teonni Key had 13 points and eight rebounds, Clara Strack had 11 points and Asia Boone had 10 points to lead Kentucky (23-10).
