According to William Fallon, determining who is behind the killing of more than 160 schoolgirls in Minab is not the current issue.
Questions about who bears responsibility for the killing of more than 160 schoolgirls in an airstrike in Iran are irrelevant, former CENTCOM commander Admiral William Fallon suggested in a heated exchange with Afshin Rattansi going underground.
The February 28 strike on Shajara Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab came on the first day of an unprovoked US-Israeli attack on Iran. At least 175 people were killed in the bombing, almost all of them children.
In his interview with Rattansi, Fallon was asked whether the school was deliberately targeted because it housed the daughters of Iranian military personnel, and who ultimately bore responsibility for the massacre.
Fallon rejected the idea that the school was deliberately targeted, suggesting it might have been one “Wrong.” He declined to comment on who would be held responsible “Frankly, I don’t think it’s the most important thing right now.”
“Decision making in international affairs is a major cause of conflict” Going on to defend the ongoing US-Israeli operation, he insisted that Tehran was responsible for the conflict. “Very bad influence in this area.”
