OpTic Texas moved to 7-0 in the CDL Stage 2 Major qualifiers.

OpTic Texas maintained its undefeated record by sweeping FaZe Vegas during Week 4 of qualification for the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major on Saturday.

In other matches of the day, G2 Minnesota defeated Paris Gentle Mates, Riyadh Falcons defeated Toronto KOI, and Boston Breach defeated Cloud9 New York 3-1.

Twelve Call of Duty League teams are competing in a full qualifying round robin to determine seeding for the season’s second major, which will be held March 27-29 in Marston Green, England, as part of the DreamHack Birmingham event.

The top six teams from the qualifiers will advance directly to the Stage 2 Major Playoffs, while teams ranked 7th-10th will advance to the play-in round.

The Stage 2 Major Champion will receive $150,000 and 100 Call of Duty League points, while the runner-up will receive $90,000 and 75 CDL points.

On Saturday, OpTic Texas opened with a 250-190 win at Scar Hardpoint and improved to 7-0 with wins over Den Search & Destroy (6-1) and Scar Overload (5-3).

USA/Netherlands/Saudi Arabia player Cuyler “Huke” Garland leads OpTic Texas with 77 kills and a +22 kill-death differential. Belgium’s Jordan “Abuzah” Francois edged FaZe Vegas with 69 kills and a +9 KD differential.

G2 Minnesota completed the sweep with a 250-240 win on Scar Hardpoint, a 6-3 win on Raid Search & Destroy, and a 5-2 win on Exposure Overload.

USA’s Cesar “Skyx” Bueno led Minnesota with 75 kills and a +18 KD differential. USA’s Daunte “Sib” Gray had 75 kills and a +16 KD differential in Paris.

Riyadh had little trouble sweeping Toronto, picking up wins over Blackheart Hardpoint (250-160), Raid Search & Destroy (6-5) and Exposure Overload (7-2).

Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Saud “Exnid” Alotai had a team-high 63 kills and finished with a +14 KD differential. America’s Nicholas “Kips” Lyons had 48 kills for Toronto, which did not have a player with a positive KD differential.

Boston jumped out to a 2-0 lead with wins at Scar Hardpoint (250-176) and Colossus Search & Destroy (6-2), while New York took the lead with a 3-2 win at Scar Overload. Boston put the game away with a 250-156 win at Colossus Hardpoint.

Mexico’s Eric “Snoopy” Perez led Boston’s victory with 105 kills and a +26 KD differential. In New York, Mexico’s Jacob “Hide” Bustillos leads the way with 82 kills. No New York player finished the game with a positive KD differential.
