Official White House X Account Posts Brutal NFL Montage


In the United States, the NFL is the king of sports programming. Not only does it get stellar viewership ratings, but it’s also consistently featured in the headlines.

The NFL champion may even receive an invitation to the home of the President of the United States after his victory. The White House is the center of American politics.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the White House posted an interesting post recently on Friday night. In the post, the White House highlighted some of the NFL’s most brutal hits.

The NFL hits montage includes AC/DC’s hit song “Thunderstruck,” with each hit highlighted by military strike action, explosion type footage.

The White House posted without much context other than to highlight the brutal attack. These hits included hits by NFL legends Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Troy Polamalu.

President Donald Trump has previously been critical of the NFL’s approach to making the game safer. On several occasions he called for more brutal strikes and the cancellation of new dynamic kick-offs.

The post comes after the Department of Homeland Security’s page posted video of military operations in response to a controversial Iranian bombing raid.

Could this be a subtle impulse for football to return to the more violent nature of football hits? Or was he simply a White House intern? Or maybe it was boring?
