The program focused on the Keats and Iceberg zones within the Keats-Basline Fault Zone, which offer high-grade gold interception at or near the surface.

Notable results from the Iceberg drill included 71.8 g/t Au at 31.95 meters and 76.6 g/t Au at 16.00 meters, while the Cates zone yielded 51.3 g/t Au from 3.40 meters. These findings confirm the strong continuity of mineralization. The 2025 program used drill spacing of 5 meters by 5 meters to improve confidence in gold distribution and validate primary mineral resource estimation models. In total, the company completed 2,773 meters of drilling over 84 holes in the Kites and 40 holes over 2,390 meters in Iceberg.

Newfound Gold Corporation (NYSEAMERICAN: NFGC ) has now begun its 2026 drill program with four active rigs, initially targeting phase 2 open pit and phase 3 underground plans to exchange resources. The company intends to expand grade control drilling in Q2 2026, including new work on the lotto drilling. Approximately 45% of the results from the 2025 drilling season are outstanding and will be released when available. Additionally, the company expects to file an updated technical report and mineral resource estimate for the Queensway project in Q3 2026.
