Justin Allgaier has made a name for himself in stock car racing. The CW has earned a reputation as a broadcast network with a lineup of scripted dramas and comedies.
Three years after The CW dipped its toe into live sports programming, the company is tapping Allgaier to star in one of its serial crime dramas.

According to Sports Business Journal, Allgaier is scheduled to appear in the ‘Wild Card’ episode airing March 30 at 8 PM ET. The episode in which Allgaier will appear is titled “The Hostage Always Rings Twice,” about hostage negotiations involving a NASCAR race.
Allgaier drove the No. 10 for JR Motorsports in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, a secondary circuit in NASCAR. 7 I drive a Chevrolet Camaro SS. The 39-year-old has made 508 starts in the series over the past 17 years. He will be playing himself in the episode.
“It was great to have the opportunity to be a part of ‘Wild Card.’ Getting the opportunity to work with that incredible group is just a testament to what a true partnership is between The CW and the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series,” Allgaier said in a statement released by SBJ.
In 2023, NASCAR announced that CW Sports would acquire television broadcast rights to the Xfinity Series beginning with the next TV deal in 2025.
In addition to NASCAR, the network has broadcast events including LIV golf, Pac-12 football, beach volleyball, women’s college basketball, Savannah Bananas baseball, tennis, and the Professional Bull Riders tour.
