Longtime Browns OL Wyatt Teller will not return in 2026

The Cleveland Browns are losing another key piece of their offensive line. Right guard Wyatt Teller will not return in 2026. He transfers after seven seasons with the team.

Teller and his wife, Carly, made their farewell to Cleveland official in an Instagram post Wednesday.

As we look forward to the future, Cleveland will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The 31-year-old security guard began. 94 out of 101 total games In Cleveland. During that time, he earned three Pro Bowl selections and made three All-Pro teams. That’s solid recognition for the offensive lineman who came to the Browns as a fifth-round pick out of Buffalo in 2018.

But things started to change for Teller later this season.

In Week 13 against San Francisco, the Browns began splitting snaps between Teller and Teven Jenkins. Teller injured his calf in that game. He ended up missing for the next three weeks. When he returned in week 17, the injury returned. A few days later, Cleveland placed him on injured reserve.

Despite his Pro Bowl pedigree, Teller’s 2025 season was not his best. He ranked 57th out of 65 qualified guards in ESPN’s pass block win percentage metric. His run blocking has gotten better, but his run blocking win percentage still ranks 40th out of 62 guards. These aren’t exactly the numbers you’d expect from a three-time All-Pro.

Teller said he wants to finish his career in Cleveland. But when the Browns placed him on IR, he seemed to know which way the wind was blowing.

“I don’t want it to be (my last fight), but if it is, it will be. I had a good time,” he said at the time.

He wasn’t the only one who walked out the door. Upcoming free agent tight end David Njoku posted on Instagram last week that his time with the Browns is also over. Cleveland’s offense is definitely changing, whether they like it or not.

The Browns are looking to make some serious changes this offseason, and losing a veteran presence like Teller is just the beginning of some pretty significant player turnover.
