The Utah Mammoth’s Logan Cooley scored twice, including a 5-4 overtime win over the host Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Alexander Kerfoot and Michael Carcone each had a goal and an assist for the Mammoths, who improved to 3-0-0 in five games on the road.

Dylan Guenther also scored and Clayton Keller had a pair of assists for Utah.

Adam Fantilli, Mason Marchment, Damon Severson and Mathieu Olivier all finished with a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets, whose three-game winning streak was halted.

Karel Vejmelka made 27 saves for the Mammoth and Elvis Merzlikins had 18 stops on the other end.

Keller turned toward the net and found Cooley open in front. Cooley made no mistake to give Utah the win 2:08 into the extra frame.

Carcone gave the Mammoth an early lead when he sent a wrist shot past Merzlikins’ glove with 7:25 left in the contest.

Cooley had a golden opportunity to double the Mammoth advantage, but Merzlikins slipped across the crease to stop the highlight reel with 9:37 left in the opening period.

Severson put the game away with 35 seconds left in the first when his point shot went just past Vejmelka.

Kent Johnson was thought to have given the Blue Jackets the lead less than eight minutes into the middle frame, but it was overturned after Utah successfully challenged him for offsides.

Guenther finished off a slick pass with Keller on a 2-0 breakaway to give Mammoth a 2-1 advantage with 7:48 left in the second period.

Olivier scored his third goal in his last two outings to tie the game despite 3:57 remaining in the second.

Kerfoot gave Mammoth a 3-2 lead exactly three minutes into the third period. His shot hit the leg of a Blue Jackets defender and went into the net.

Cooley extended the lead to 4-2 at the 4:54 mark, breaking through and taking it to his backhand before lifting it over Merzlikins’ outstretched pad.

Fantilli made it a one-goal game with 6:22 left in the third when he nudged a quick backhand shot across the goal line after hitting Vejmelka’s pad.

Marchment tied the score 30 seconds later when he deked a backhand and climbed to the top shelf with 5 minutes, 52 seconds left in regulation.
