Michal Bridges scored 25 points and Jalen Brunson added 24 to help the host New York Knicks snap the San Antonio Spurs’ 11-game winning streak with a 114-89 win Sunday afternoon.

Bridges made 10 of 17 shots from the floor and 5 of 9 3-pointers. He also had five rebounds and five steals.

Brunson had seven assists and connected on four times from beyond the arc to lead the Knicks to their 14th win in 18 games and avenge a 134-132 loss to the Spurs on New Year’s Eve.

Karl-Anthony Towns collected 12 points and 14 rebounds to help New York put its will on the glass. The Knicks maintained a 54-41 advantage on the boards, including 18-10 on the offensive glass.

Mohamed Diawara had 14 points off the bench, OG Anunoby had 12 and New York played a one-sided game in the fourth quarter.

San Antonio’s Victor Wembayama had 25 points and 13 rebounds Sunday after scoring 12 and 8 points, respectively, in his last two games. But the 7-foot-4 star committed seven of the team’s season-high 22 turnovers.

Devin Vassell scored 18 points and Stephon Castle added 13 for the Spurs, who lost for the first time since dropping a 111-106 decision to the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 31. They also recorded their lowest point total of the season.

San Antonio cut a 16-point deficit to 9 early in the fourth quarter, 84-75, before New York pulled away. Anunoby and Josh Hart each hit a 3-pointer and Bridges sent Madison Square Garden into a frenzy with a dunk in transition as part of a 13-1 run.

After struggling to find the basket early in the game, the Knicks took a 36-23 lead on the strength of a 26-2 run bridging the first and second quarters.

New York extended its advantage to 16 points before settling for a 10-point lead at halftime (51-41).
