“POV: You are an IDF pilot from the OTW in Tehran.”

Under this title, the Israel Defense Forces or IDF released a 33-second cockpit video on its X handle as the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran entered its second week. The clip places the viewer in the cockpit of a fighter jet flying towards Tehran, with multiple planes moving in formation over the clouds and mountainous terrain.

The footage follows the plane as it traverses different landscapes from high altitude as the formation moves towards the destination. The pilot’s face appears blurred in the video, possibly for reasons of anonymity.

‘On the way to achieving historic goals’

The Times of Israel later shared the clip on social media with a translated version of the pilot footage.

“We, the pilots and navigators of the Israeli Air Force, are currently flying in formation over the skies over Tehran, en route to attack historic targets,” the pilot says in the recording according to the Times of Israel.

“We continue to fight, as necessary, 24 hours a day, and we feel your support all the time. We wish you, Israeli citizens, a safe and peaceful Shabbat,” adds the pilot.

Strava reference and strike details

In another post referencing a viral trend on the Strava app, the IDF shared a video of a fighter jet and wrote: “Hitting our PR in Iran.”

In a separate update on X, the IDF said more than 80 Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked military infrastructure in Tehran and central Iran.

Targets included the IRGC’s Imam Hossein Military University, which the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps uses for officer training and assembly, along with ballistic missile storage facilities, underground missile command infrastructure, and launch sites targeting Israel in western and central Iran.

The IDF said the strikes reduce the Iranian regime’s ability to fire on Israeli civilians.
