What is space?
Cosmos is an open ecosystem designed to connect several independent blockchains. It is often referred to as the “Internet of Blockchains”. Its architecture is based on Hubs and Zones. Hubs act as inter-chain hubs, while Zones are independent blockchains that can operate independently. These blockchains communicate and share assets and data through the Cosmos Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) Protocol, breaking down the isolation between individual blockchains.
Cosmos uses Tendermint’s high-performance, secure, and scalable consensus mechanism along with a modular SDK tool that allows developers to easily build new chains and quickly join the ecosystem with flexibility, security, and compatibility.
What is Cosmos (ATOM) Staking?
Cosmos adopts a Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism where validators verify and produce blocks. ATOM support means locking your ATOM tokens in the network and giving your voting power to the validators who maintain the network consensus. In return, you earn block rewards and help strengthen the security of the entire Cosmos network.
Staked ATOM remains locked in the blockchain. When you choose to opt-out, there is a 21-day cooling-off period during which your ATOM cannot be transferred or traded.

Funding based on funds
In the CoolWallet ATOM staking mechanism, rewards are calculated based on the amount of ATOM staked. The more you contribute, the higher your prorated premium.

Participation with Staking address
If you already have an existing ATOM stake and use the same address to add more, any unclaimed rewards will be automatically claimed and the newly deposited ATOM will be combined with your existing stake, accumulating the rewards together.

Prizes are distributed automatically when the staking status changes
When the staking status changes (for example, adding more stake or starting a bet), all unclaimed rewards are automatically claimed and sent to your wallet address.

Wake up
After starting the deal, the withdrawal period is about 21 days. During this time, your earned ATOMs will not be transferred and will not accumulate any further rewards. After the redemption period ends, your earned ATOM and all unclaimed rewards will be automatically returned to your wallet address.
How to start Staking
Step 1. Open the CoolWallet → app Wallet → To get → ATOM to access ATOM Contribution management page
Step 2. Touch contributionConfirm your Kosmos address and validator of choice, then click Continue to continue
Step 3. Carefully review the transaction details, then verify the transaction.
(CoolWallet Pro or CoolWallet Go users must have their cool wallet card ready for signature)
Once the test is complete, your ATOM will be successfully staked and staking rewards will start accumulating.
How to Check Staking Status
After successful completion of rewards and accumulation of rewards, you can view your accumulated rewards under To get tab on the Wallet page.
How to Claim Staking Rewards
Step 1. In Contribution management page, tap Claim rewards and select the wallet address to receive the reward.
Step 2. Review the transaction details and verify it with CoolWallet Pro or CoolWallet Go for signature.
Step 3. Once successful, your accumulated reward balance will return to almost zero and the requested ATOM rewards will be sent directly to your wallet address.
How to quit
Step 1. In Contribution management page, tap Cancellation requestthen select the wallet address you want to remove from representation.
Step 2. Review the transaction details carefully, then verify the transaction. (CoolWallet Pro or CoolWallet Go users must prepare their cold wallet card for signature).
Step 3. After a successful submission, the 21-day withdrawal period begins. During this time, your staked ATOMs cannot be transferred and will stop generating rewards.
After the expiration date, your main ATOM and all pending rewards will be automatically returned to your wallet address.
Questions
Q1. Can I transfer my ATOM during staking?
No. Staked ATOM is locked and cannot be transferred, purchased or used. However, any invalid ATOM in your wallet will remain fully transferable.
Q1. What is the minimum amount to contribute to ATOM?
The Cosmos network does not enforce a minimum rate, but you must hold ATOMs to cover transaction fees on the chain. It is recommended to leave a small balance in your wallet for future transactions.
Q3. Can I cancel ATOM at any time?
Yes. You can initiate an invalidation at any time, but you must wait a period of 21 days before your ATOM is available again. During this period, your earned ATOM will not be transferred and will stop generating rewards. After that, the tokens will be automatically returned to your wallet.
Q4. When are staking rewards distributed?
ATOM staking rewards are continuously accumulated at your representative address and can be claimed at any time through the CoolWallet app.
If your bet status changes (such as adding or removing a stake), any unclaimed rewards will automatically be sent to your wallet address.
Q5. How are ATOM staking rewards calculated?
The validator receives a portion of the total reward and the rest is distributed to the contributor as an incentive in proportion to the amount contributed.
The reward depends on the network conditions, including the fixed supply in the network, transaction fees, blocking time, as well as the performance of the validator’s income and other important factors.

Q7. Why does the unclaimed reward suddenly become “0”?
A change of status (delegate, request to cancel) will trigger an automatic claim for any unclaimed reward sent directly to your address.
Q8. Are there any risks when installing ATOM?
According to the Cosmos operating protocol, if a validator is penalized by the Cosmos network for misbehavior, a portion of your package’s ATOM assets will be taken as a penalty.
