Full list of airlines that issued new advisories for March 2 and suspended flights in the Middle East

Cancellation/suspension of flights due to the Iran-Israel war: Amid current tensions in the Middle East following the Iran-Israel war and the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the situation is expected to deteriorate further. Keeping this in mind, several global airlines issued advisories to passengers and suspended or canceled flight operations to Gulf countries for March 2.

IndiGo canceled the operation of 160 flights on March 2 following the closure and restrictions of airspace in the Middle East.

Emirates has temporarily suspended all operations to and from Dubai, until 3:00 p.m. UAE time on March 2. He also advised passengers to check the flight status before heading to the airport.

“We are actively monitoring the situation and collaborating with relevant authorities. We apologize to customers affected by the disruptions for any inconvenience caused. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority,” it said.

Qatar Airways also suspended flight operations due to the closure of Qatari airspace. He also stated that flight operations will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace.

Oman Air canceled flight services to and from Amman (AMM), Dubai (DXB), Bahrain (BAH), Doha (DOH), Dammam (DMM) and Kuwait (KWI) on March 2. “The safety of our guests and crew remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the appropriate authorities and will continue to share updates here and on our website,” it said.

SriLankan Airlines also canceled flight operations between Colombo and Middle East destinations until 11:59 p.m. on March 1.
