Donald Trump has warned that the US may take action in Cuba after the Iran war, a rare unrest on the island.

The US President said on Sunday that he can make an agreement with Cuba Or “do what we want to do”.

But Mr Trump has signaled that he will take no further action until his war on Cuba Iran It’s over.

It also comes after rare riots in Cuba on Saturday, in which protesters attacked Communist Party offices during blackouts, local media said.

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said: “Cuba also wants to make a deal, and I think we’ll make a deal soon or do whatever we have to do.

“We’re talking to Cuba, but we’re going to do Iran before Cuba.”

He suggested on Monday that Cuba might be the target of a “friendly takeover,” before adding that it might not be a “friendly takeover.”

His comments follow years of tension between the two Washington and Havana, with sanctions and issues over migration and security disputes.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said on Friday that his country had begun talks with the US as it faces its worst financial crisis in decades.

‘Avoid conflict’


Iran war: Trump seeks help from allies

He said: “These talks are aimed at finding negotiated solutions to the bilateral differences we have between the two nations.”

Mr Diaz-Canel said he hoped the talks would “keep the long-time rivals out of conflict”.

Cuba’s economic turmoil has been exacerbated by disruptions in imported oil, which it relies on to run power plants and transportation networks.

Fuel shortages have forced authorities to impose rolling power cuts and limit some public services.

During Saturday’s riots, anti-government protesters began a peaceful rally before turning violent, a state-run newspaper said.

Videos on social media showed people throwing rocks through the building’s windows as people shouted “freedom” in the background.

Mr Diaz-Canel said he felt the anger was understandable but said there was “no punishment for vandalism and violence”.

In recent weeks, Mr Trump has insisted that Cuba is on the brink of collapse or eager to make a deal with the US.
