Mandatory Credit: Matt Blewett-Imagn Images Desmond Bane scored 30 points on 10-for-17 shooting, and the Orlando Magic rolled to a 119-92 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon.
Paolo Banchero recorded a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds against Orlando, recording his third consecutive win. Jalen Suggs added 14 points and hit three 3-pointers.
Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 34 points and shot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Julius Randle finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Naz Reid scored 13 points off the bench.
Orlando shot 46.2% overall (42 of 91) and 26.5% (9 of 34) from 3-point range. Minnesota shot 35.7% (30 of 84) from the field and 22.5% (9 of 40) from long range.
The Magic sealed the win by outscoring the Timberwolves 29-14 in the fourth quarter. Bain scored 10 points in the fourth quarter alone and made all four shots from the field.
Orlando opened the fourth quarter on a 10-2 run to take a 100-80 lead. Bane started the run by driving to the lane for a layup, and Suggs hit a 3-pointer off an assist from Noah Penda.
The Magic led 90-78 early in the fourth quarter.
Orlando led by as many as 20 points in the bottom of the third inning. Tristan da Silva made a layup to give the Magic an 85-65 advantage with 3:45 left in the session.
Minnesota went on an 11-3 run with 1 minute and 3 seconds left in the third quarter to reduce the deficit to 88-76. Edwards scored the first seven points by hitting four free throws and knocking down a stepback 3-pointer during the run.
Orlando took a 60-50 lead at halftime.
Magic guard Anthony Black left the game in the first quarter with a back injury and did not return. He finished the game with no points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal in 2 minutes.
