Grant Thornton UK has appointed Frederick Vantin as Chief Commercial Officer to drive the company’s growth agenda and client-facing operations.
Vinten joins the strategic leadership team and will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s business strategy.
He will coordinate go-to-market efforts and work to improve client engagement across Grant Thornton UK’s range of services.
Grant Thornton UK CEO Malcolm Gomersall said: “Frederick’s business acumen and international experience will be instrumental in our next phase of growth.
“His ability to change strategy at speed will be a major catalyst as we accelerate our momentum and strengthen the impact we deliver for clients across the company.”
Vinten has more than 20 years of experience in international consulting, financial services, strategy and large-scale business transformation.
Most recently, Vinten served as EMEA Chief Operating Officer at FTI Consulting. Prior to this, he held several senior positions and worked as a partner at Spencer Stuart, member of the executive board at Dansk Bank and Head of Strategy and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) at Maersk Line.
Vinten said: “Grant Thornton truly stands out as the most dynamic and forward-thinking firm in professional services.
“Its exceptional quality of work, unique culture and ambitious plans to redefine the modern profession make it an exciting journey to be a part of.”
The move follows recent changes to Grant Thornton’s strategic leadership team.
Darren Baer, who announced his decision to leave in November, will officially step down at the end of the first quarter.
Recently, Grant Thornton UK appointed David Pike as an equity partner to lead the London transformation and restructuring division.
