It took just 31 seconds for the Kraken to take the lead. Adam Larsson’s shot from the right point was deflected aside by Hopper, but the puck landed right at the feet of left wing Schwartz. He collected the puck with his skate and placed it inside the near post.
The Blues tied the game at 6:50 of the first. Grubauer blocked Schenn’s shot from the right faceoff circle, but the rebound went to the back of the net and Mailloux picked up the puck and completed a wraparound before Grubauer went from post to post.
St. Louis took the lead with a 3-2 rush at 7:40 in the second inning. Cam Fowler picked up the puck on the right wing and fired a pass to Holloway for a tip-in at the far post. Holloway scored a hat-trick on 26 February as the Blues won 5–1 at home against the Kraken.
The Blues extended their lead to 3-1 at 1:33 of the third. Schenn took the puck behind the net and fed Thomas in the slot for a quick wrist shot that hit Grubauer high toward the glove.
Seattle tied the game at 3-2 at 13:34 of the third when Jordan Eberle found the back of the net and found Dunn to score on a one-timer from the slot.
Defenseman Ryan Lindgren returned to the Seattle lineup after missing three games with an upper-body injury.
