Atlanta Falcons Discuss Dynamic Offensive Weapon Trade

A new league year in the NFL is upon us. Teams are making calls to find out who is available, who is not available, and even who might be released.

The Atlanta Falcons released an offensive playmaker this week and are currently discussing trading another playmaker. On Friday, reports emerged that the Falcons are exploring trading their 2021 first-round pick.

That player, of course, is tight end Kyle Pitts, who was recently franchise tagged. Pitts had a good career with the Falcons.

But when he’s at his best, Pitts is one of the best pass catchers in the NFL. Not just a tight end, but a truly dynamic offensive weapon.

According to the report, head coach Kevin Stefanski views Pitts as a dynamic threat and would prefer to keep him. But compensation for Pitts could sway the Falcons’ head coach and front office.

Pitts achieved career highs in receptions (88) and touchdowns (5). His presence sparked a late-season surge for the Falcons, helping them stay in the playoff hunt.

Pitts will likely want a long-term deal. The Falcons may not be 100% willing. Could Pitts make a move this offseason?
