Andrej Stojakovic recorded a double-double as No. 11 Illinois beat Oregon State.

Andrej Stojakovic had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds and David Mirkovic added 19 points and seven boards to help No. 11 Illinois rout Oregon State 80-54 on Tuesday in Champaign, Illinois.

Illinois (23-7, 14-5 Big Ten) dominated the multi-point overtime period to stop its second straight loss, and Oregon suffered its third loss in five games. The Ducks (11-19, 4-15) have lost seven of their last eight games on the road.

Oregon, which shot 32.6% from distance this season, was 5-for-29 as part of an overall effort of 32.8% from the floor. Illinois shot 40.8% while holding a 36-26 edge in points in the paint and a 13-4 edge in fast break points.

The Fighting Illini overcame a sluggish start and took the lead with a 21-0 lead in the first half. They turned a 9-3 deficit into a 24-9 advantage in six minutes. Stojakovic contributed six points in the spurt, while Zvonimir Ivicic and Keaton Wagler each added five points.

A Nate Bittle layup at the 8:46 mark broke the Ducks’ scoring drought with 6:25 left and pulled the visitors within 13 points. Wagler answered with a trey on the ensuing possession en route to 11 first-half points.

Stojakovic, who set a career high in rebounds, scored 15 points after halftime. He played a key role in building a 15-0 lead midway through the second half. The Illini led by about 30.

Bittle led the Ducks with 15 points and Kwame Evans Jr. had 13 points and eight rebounds. Takai Simpkins had nine points and Sean Stewart had eight boards.

Illinois sizzled for the rest of the first half after missing seven of eight shots to start the game. The Illini shot 45.5% before the break compared to 27.3% for the Ducks and held a 41-21 advantage at the break.

Bittle had nine points in the first half.

Mirkovic fouled out 27 minutes into the game, and Illinois committed five of nine fouls in the game. The Illini also had just six turnovers.

Illinois can secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the upcoming Big Ten tournament with a win at Maryland on Sunday.
