ACC Tournament Recap: Toby Fournier helps Duke beat Clemson in quarterfinals.

Toby Fournier provided 17 points and 10 rebounds as defending champion Duke avenged a loss less than two weeks ago with a 60-46 quarterfinal victory over Clemson in Duluth, Ga., on Friday in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

The Blue Devils (22-8), the top seed ranked 13th in the nation, also received 14 points from Delaney Thomas and 11 points from Tyna Meyer. Duke, which lost two of its final three games of the regular season, takes a lead of as much as 25 points in the rematch with Clemson and then faces Notre Dame in Saturday’s semifinals.

Mia Moore scored 17 points for ninth-seeded Clemson (21-11), which scored just 28 points through the first three quarters and trailed by 18 with nine minutes remaining. The Tigers committed 21 turnovers and shot 35.3% (18-for-51) from the field.

Notre Dame 81, North Carolina State 63

ACC Player of the Year Hannah Hidalgo poured in 25 points and the fifth-seeded Irish rolled through in the quarterfinals.

Iyana Moore, who hit four 3-pointers, scored 14 points for the Irish (22-9), who had 17 of her 20 points in the first half to take a 40-32 halftime advantage. Moore and Hidalgo scored 33 points in the first half, and the score increased to 62-41 through the fourth quarter. Cassandre Prosper added 13 points for Notre Dame, which improved to 4-0 against NC State in an ACC tournament matchup.

Camille Pierre had 17 points, Jamarella Jones 14, Quadence Samuels 12 and Joe Brooks 10 as fourth-seeded NC State (20-10) made just 4 of 19 3-pointers. The Wolfpack had 17 turnovers.
