US-based cinnamon roll franchise Cinnaholic has re-instated the Square business tool in 85 stores after a brief transition to a competitive system.
The plant-based bakery chain ran its business in the block’s inaugural product square for 12 years, before spending last year testing the alternative.
“Sinaholic’s return to the Square shows that we are the right platform to support fast-growing quick service franchises as they expand,” said Block’s director of sales and marketing Nick Molner.
As part of the redeployment, Cinaholic implemented Square’s end-to-end tools, anchored by Square for franchisees, to manage its multi-location operations from a central platform.
For franchisees, Square provides “headquarters-level visibility” while supporting individual stores with fast checkout and real-time performance data.
For in-store locations, Cinaholic has chosen Square Register and Square Stand as its payment and point-of-sale hardware.
The company will also use Square Loyalty to drive its rewards initiatives and Square Marketing to manage automated customer communications.
Cinnaholic Vice President of Operations Karen Bostius said: “We grew Cinnaholic on Square, and although we took a break and tried another provider, we knew Square was the right technology solution to continue scaling our business.
“And the Square platform offers the reliability, support and franchise capabilities we need to scale with confidence.”
Founded in 2010 in Berkeley, California, Cinnaholic has expanded from one store to a franchise network across North America.
The company markets its cinnamon rolls as “100% plant-based” and free of dairy, lactose, eggs and cholesterol.
Beyond its current 85 locations, Cinnaholic expects to open ten additional stores by 2026, with another 20 sites reportedly under development.
In January, Vietnamese-American beverage chain 7Leaves Cafe decided to deploy Square business devices at 44 of its locations in the United States.
“Cinnaholic Redeploys Square Systems Across Franchise Network” was originally created and published by Verdict Food Service, a brand owned by Global Data.
