The Dallas Cowboys are eyeing an All-Pro defender to fix their defense.

The NFL’s new league year is upon us and teams have begun planning their 2026 rosters. This includes cuts, trades and expected free agent signings.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the teams looking to make a move this offseason. They are a franchise that has already tagged George Pickens, so now they have to address their defense issues.

On Thursday, a report surfaced that the Cowboys are keeping an eye on a specific player. Cincinnati Bengals free agent EDGE defenseman Trey Hendrickson is a name they are keeping an eye on.

The Bengals continued their losing streak, falling 37-24 to the Lions.

The Cowboys felt a missing piece on defense after trading Micah Parsons. Now they will try to acquire Hendrickson to fill that void.

Hendrickson made his fourth straight Pro Bowl last season. His 2025 campaign was cut short by injury. The Bengals did not tag Hendrickson, making him available to a team like the Cowboys.

From 2021 to 2024, Hendrickson has recorded 57 sacks and 53 tackles for loss. He has been seeking a valuable contract extension beyond the end of the 2023 season. But Cincinnati didn’t want that.

The Bengals fell to 3-8 with a 26-20 loss at home.

He would be one of the best EDGE defenders on the market and a prime candidate to join the Cowboys.
