The United States is the most likely team to participate in the World Baseball Classic (WBC).

They are -110 to win the event and I wouldn’t bet against my country on the world stage. Unlike Latin American teams, the United States has most of the insurance on its roster and could find a lot of success with this lineup.

That’s why I’m going to move away from betting on the WBC and take a look at the future of the players who will be participating. Here are Americans’ favorite futures:

Roman Anthony 160+ Views (+330)

Maybe I’m seeing too much Red Sox hype on my timeline, but I’m completely focused on Roman Anthony this year. In 2025, Anthony recorded 75 hits in 71 games. He crushed the ball last season. Anthony had an xWOBA of .372 last season, one of the best in baseball. To that end, he posted a 60.3 percent hard-hit percentage, which is again one of the best in baseball.

There is a direct positive correlation between OPS and average exit velocity. Roman Anthony fits that mold. My only concern is that Anthony’s strikeout rate is very high at 29.8%. If he can limit his strikeouts, the sky is the limit for Roman Anthony.

Bobby Witt Jr. 35+ home runs (+200)

Bobby Witt had a down year, hitting 23 home runs, an OPS of .852, and a WAR of 7.1. Looking at Witt’s projected statistics from last season, I thought he would have hit more home runs, but fortunately this season the Royals actually moved the left field wall 10 feet and reduced its height to 8.5 feet. Kauffman Stadium has always been a pitcher-friendly park, but they are trying to create more neutral park elements, which will certainly benefit Witt.

FanGraphs projects Witt to hit 28 home runs this year, which is a bit lower than expected for the average player, so I really like this line as plus money.

Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber o100 RBI (+112)

The logic here is very simple. These are two of my favorite power bats in baseball. I expect both players to hit 40+ home runs, which would also lead to 100 RBIs. Judge has reached 100 RBI in three of the last four seasons, and the only year he has not reached that mark was when he played just 106 games.

Schwarber reached 100 RBIs in each of his last three seasons in Philly, and had 94 in his first year as a leadoff pitcher in Philly. There’s still work to be done on my first two bets, but this one is a bet and I’m grateful I made it when it was easily over in September.
