Draymond Green applauds Stephen A. Smith for Luka Doncic’s trade comments.

Four-time NBA champion Draymond Green had a strong reaction to Stephen A. Smith after the ESPN analyst said the media was “wrong” to want him to apologize to Nico Harrison for the infamous Luka Doncic trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Green said the media had a double standard toward Harrison after trading the Slovenian to the Lakers because Harrison didn’t like some of Doncic’s habits. Green pointed out that many of Harrison’s critics did not apologize to him, even though they did the same thing as the former general manager.

Smith didn’t appreciate Green’s comments and said the Warriors star was “very wrong.” On Wednesday, “The Draymond Green Show” shared a clip on Instagram showing the player applauding Smith and his lack of accountability.

“The problem I have is that we demand all this accountability, but these people are all talk and no accountability at all. I have zero accountability. Literally throw shit at the wall and see if it sticks. There’s no accountability.”

“But you always want to put the blame on someone else. I don’t understand. Like these people don’t have to answer for these horrible things they’ve done. How wrong they are in most situations. But these are experts. I don’t understand. That’s the only thing you can be an expert in, and you have zero experience in the game.”

Before starting Smith, Draymond Green said nothing about the city of Memphis. After Anthony Edwards called Memphis hotels “dirty,” Green repeated those comments.

“(Anthony Edwards) is pretty blunt about it, but yeah,” Green said. “I had a problem staying at a hotel in Memphis, and it’s been happening for a long time. I stopped staying there because the sprinklers in the room went off for no reason. It drenched all of (Andrew) Bogart’s stuff and they didn’t want to do anything about it. So we changed hotels, right? So it became a problem.”

The Grizzlies tried to be the villains a few seasons ago. That may be the case now, but not for statutory reasons.
