Autier, the developer of a cloud-based software platform that helps certified public accountant (CPA) firms conduct employee benefit plan (EBP) audits, has secured investment from private equity firm Cerent Capital.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Developed by practicing CPAs, AI-powered Auter is designed as a centralized, technology-enabled platform to help CPA firms manage EBP audits and automate key workflows.
The tool integrates workflow tools, automated data management and structured document support for retirement plan audits, including 401(k), 403(b) and employee stock ownership plan configurations.
The platform is intended to help companies standardize audit work, reduce manual administrative tasks and support a more standardized audit methodology.
Serant Capital partner Stewart Lane said: “EBP audits sit at the intersection of organizational complexity and operational intensity.
“Based on Cerent’s subjective work, we recognize Autier as a true innovator in this market.
“In an industry that has historically depended on manual processes, Autier combines deep expertise with AI and technology to drive greater efficiency and stronger results for our clients.”
Autier confirmed the investment in a LinkedIn post.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Cerent Capital as we enter the next phase of growth. This milestone is a strong vote of confidence in our vision and the work our team does every day.”
The collaboration will enable Autier to work with Serant’s growth team on initiatives that span AI and product development, business strategy and the company’s long-term strategic priorities.
Brian Price, founder and CEO of Auteur, said: “We were looking for a partner who understands the software vertical and respects the importance of building alongside experts.
“Serient brings that experience, along with operational support that will help us scale intuitively.”
“Autire secures investment from Serent Capital to scale EBP audits” was originally created and published by Global Accounting Bulletin, a brand owned by GlobalData.
