Evan Bouchard helped the Edmonton Oilers get back on track with an overtime winner on Tuesday against the visiting Ottawa Senators.

Leon Draisaitl contributed all five points (two goals, three assists) for the Oilers, who earned their second win in their last seven games (2-5-0). They did so in resilient fashion, overcoming three deficits and taking their first lead with an overtime winner.

Drake Batherson scored twice, Dylan Cozens and Michael Amadio also scored for the Senators, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zach Hyman scored the other two goals for the Oilers.

Hyman tipped in a pass from Draisaitl to force an extra frame with 1:25 left in regulation.

Bouchard caught a pass from Connor McDavid before hitting a slap shot past Linus Ullmark for the game-winning power play tally with 3:10 left in overtime.

Ullmark made 32 saves and Edmonton’s Connor Ingram had 17.

Cozens broke the ice just three minutes into the game when he sent a perfectly placed wrist shot over Ingram’s glove for his third goal in the last two contests.

It didn’t take long for Draisaitl to find the equalizer, as he took advantage of an out-of-position Ullmark and sent a shot into the unguarded cage at 5:03 of the opening period.

Batherson continued his goal-scoring parade a minute later when he took a pass from Brady Tkachuk and placed a shot into the top corner of the power play marker.

The early action continued as Vasily Podkolzin dropped the gloves with Ridly Greig eight minutes into the first period.

Draisaitl got another break as his attempted pass landed on Batherson’s stick, and unfortunately his attempted clear bounced off Nick Jensen’s skate and into the back of his own net with 3 minutes, 12 seconds left in the opening frame.

Tim Stutzle carried the puck all over the offensive zone until he found Batherson open at the tailgate, and the sharpshooter made no mistake for his second goal of the contest at 4:30 of the second period.

Amadio took a short pass from Jensen 41 seconds later and sent it into the back of the net to make it 4-2 to Ottawa.

Nugent-Hopkins put a bank of Draisaitl’s shots into the back of the net off her skate and scored a power-play goal less than two minutes into the third quarter to make it a one-goal game.
