Jesus Sanchez allowed three runs on two hits and Nathan Rooks added a two-run hit in the Blue Jays’ five-run second inning.
Jacob Robson hit a solo homer to give Canada four runs in the eighth inning, completing a comeback from an early 7-0 deficit before Tyrotta’s blast put Toronto ahead.
Canada faces Philadelphia on Wednesday and plays Colombia in the World Baseball Classic on Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Ceddanne Rafaela hit a three-run home run in the second inning and a two-run double in the third to beat Baltimore in Sarasota, Florida.
Ray Patrick Dether hit a solo home run in the first inning and boasted three hits and three runs. Ozzie Albies also went deep in the second inning for the Netherlands.
Pete Alonso continued his strong spring with a solo home run in the top of the first inning, and Jeremiah Jackson also went deep for the Orioles.

JC Escarra hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the fifth inning in Tampa, Florida, sending New York to a rout of Panama.
Ryan McMahon hit a two-run hit in the first inning, Kennedy Corona gave up two hits and two runs, and Escara added a sacrifice fly to set the pace for the Yankees.
Ruben Tejada hit an RBI grounder in the 8th inning against Panama.

Vidal Brujan led New York to victory with a two-run hit in the sixth inning in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The Mets added a solo home run by Chris Suero in the 8th, and rookie Bo Bichette scored the first run with a sacrifice fly in the 1st.
Freddy Zamora and Brandon Leyton each hit solo home runs for Nicaragua. Zamora added his second RBI on a sac fly.
Pirates 7, Colombia 1
Jake Mangum had two hits and two runs to lead Pittsburgh to a victory in Bradenton, Florida.
Konnor Griffin and Jhostynxon Garcia each had 11 hits and doubled in RBIs for the Pirates.
Colombia earned a shutout win thanks to an RBI double from Jesus Castillo in the 9th inning.
Israel 1, Marlins 0
Garrett Stubbs hit an RBI triple off Cole Carrigg in the fourth inning to lead Israel against Miami in Jupiter, Florida.
Carrigg joined Benjamin Rosengard with a hit and Robert Stock struck out three batters and allowed no runs in three innings for Israel.
The Marlins had just four hits but made two costly errors.
Rays (ss) 5, twins 2
Chandler Simpson had a fiery RBI single in a five-run first inning for a split-squad Tampa Bay team against Minnesota in Fort Myers, Florida.
Logan Davidson, Jacob Melton and Xavier Isaac each had an RBI single during the Rays’ inning, giving the Rays eight hits.
Royce Lewis hit Brooks Lee on a pair of sacrifice flies for the Twins.
Rays(ss) 3, Phillies 1
Ryan Vilade had two hits and one run as Tampa Bay defeated Philadelphia in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Vilade scored on an RBI single by Taylor Walls in the second inning for the Rays, who had scored in each of the first three innings.
Jose Rodriguez had an RBI single in the fifth inning for the Phillies, who were 3-7-1 in spring training.
