Three US fighter jets crashed in Kuwait after being mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses in a friendly fire incident during active combat with Iran. The United States says all crew members survived. It is also in Kuwait that the United States suffered its first casualties in the rapidly expanding war with Iran.
