North Korea has fired missiles into the sea in response to the United States military exercises.
About 10 ballistic missiles were fired from close range of Pyongyang The international airport was a show of force on Saturday following joint military exercises between the US and South Korea.
They flew about 220 miles before landing in the Sea of Japan. of South Korea said the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
This happened just hours after South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met the president Donald Trump In Washington.
South Korea has since stepped up its surveillance in response.
And experts fear Saturday’s launches could undermine diplomatic efforts made by both sides.
Currently the US and South Korea are participating Freedom Shield, An 11-day joint military exercise between the two sides every March.
North Korea has long described them as invasion rehearsals — often citing them as a reason to dial back the weapons test.

But South Korea is quick to insist that its defense posture against its northern neighbor will not be affected.
