Yemen’s Houthi rebels, one of Iran’s key Shiite allies in the region, have so far stayed out of the latest conflict sparked by US and Israeli attacks on Tehran. While Iran-aligned groups in Lebanon and Iraq have already joined the fighting, the Houthis, who possess the ability to attack Gulf states and disrupt sea routes around the Arabian Peninsula, have not yet been directly involved.
