Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) enters multi-year partnership with Adia


Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD ) is one of the best technology stocks to buy for the long term. On March 9, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) announced it has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with Adia. Through this deal AMD gets access to Adia’s IP portfolio covering hybrid bonding, packaging, and processing technologies.

This comes as the two companies settled their dispute over semiconductor technology, as reported by Reuters on March 9. Adia has filed two patent lawsuits against Advanced Micro Devices in Texas federal court. Paul E. Davis, CEO of Adia, noted:

That said, on March 5, Stacey Rasgon from Bernstein set a hold rating on the stock with a $235 price target. The analyst noted that Washington is drafting a resolution that would require companies including Advanced Micro Devices to obtain a license to export AI chips. While the rules have not yet been finalized it could add additional friction for chipmunks.
